When Aristotle (384 BC - 322 BC) described individuals as social animals that others needed to survive, it was not wrong. Human interrelations are the basis of socialization, the fundamental element in the lives of individuals, as it provides basic and essential knowledge for all areas.

Relating to others not only teaches us about life, but also about ourselves. The family, the school or the neighborhood are part of some of the stages of socialization, however, we can find socializing mechanisms in any activity we do with other people.
A multitude of activities are constantly in charge of responding to the desire to learn and to establish contact with our environment.
In this regard, the idea that our son or daughter performs a sporting activity, at any level, both at school and in a club, summer campus ..., surely it has gone through the majority of parents. Now the hardest thing is deciding what is the most suitable activity for our children. Which one will be most pleasing to you, if your classmates go there or if you are comfortable doing it better than doing it at the same school or outside.
There are a lot of positions and arguments, and in every house they have their own version, just as good as in the house of the neighbor.
Children are this, children, and need to move in a suitable environment for them, where their experiences and actions are in accordance with their context. Therefore, we start from the idea that the child needs to be with other people of their age in order to be able to develop as such and be able to grow in the most natural way possible.
If we stop to observe our routine and that of others, we always look for the most appropriate family and school environments at the age of the child. Who has not seen the smallest of the house playing in the park, in the school yard, even in the pool ... and always, or almost always, they relate to other children of their age. Because, for them, the game is to share, laugh and pursue. Be accompany Playing sun almost always is more boring.
So the activities that take place in a group are more favorable to the development of the child, since the surroundings and the people with whom they surround are of the same educational level.
That is why team sport is a good tool to take this into account as an activity for our children. It is an activity in which they relate, develop, share experiences and, even if we do not look for it, they compare and compete with each other, in the healthiest and most instructive way the monitor can control.
All this means socializing, interacting with other children of their age, understanding each other, making friends or colleagues, finding themselves in discussions and knowing how to solve them.
Beyond the educational factor related to motor maturity, skills and attitude, through team sports, socialization works a lot. And it is a good tool for all children to have the same number of options to interact with their peers, and to favor these relationships that, in many cases, is the main objective of pointing our son or daughter to do an activity
Educational value
Important psychologists and pedagogues have pointed out the educational value of sport for the psychosocial development of boys and girls as a tool for social and cultural integration.
But these effects do not occur automatically and with the practice of any sporting activity, but only occurs when all the factors involved in the organization and management of sport adopt an educational sport model and open to all the participants, without discrimination for cultural, social, gender or sports skills. The agents that can affect this situation are the technicians or monitors, the parents, the spectators, the referees and the organizers of sport competitions.
There is an increasing number of medical evidence that guarantees the benefits of sport for the health of people. Sport not only helps us maintain a healthy life but also facilitates human relationships in a playful context, which increases self-esteem, physical and emotional wellbeing and the ability to overcome, especially for young people and children, and more specifically for those who may be at risk of social exclusion. Being part of a team can strengthen some capacities and stimulate some positive, more competitive and responsible attitudes and develop new consequences.
This leads us to believe that, in the world of children, activities that have the characteristics to do so will be very beneficial for children who practice it.
