In this video we will teach you a progression of three exercises to perfect your technique so that you can improve efficiency and fluidity in the water.
Get calm
The first exercise is to achieve a state of calm through breathing. Without this exercise the rest do not come out, so it is imperative to start here.
We will inspire and expire very slowly, relaxing the diaphragm and focusing on how it enters and how the air goes. No hurry, until you get a real state of calm.
Take advantage of your own weight
In the second exercise, we will learn to swim with our own weight. For this we have to find the angle of entry of our arm that allows us to project better our weight to achieve slip better.
We will swim a pool with an entrance of the parallel arm to the water and then we will try with angles of -15º, -30º, -45º to find its optimum.
The spears
In the third and last year we will intensify the projection of our weight. For this we will launch the arm, as if it were a spear, in the angle we had previously found. Note that the recovery movement has no stops, the arm does not stop and it is thrown by dragging the whole body.
Remember that these exercises are a general focus to start improving your style. If you really want to deepen and perfect the swimming, check out our swimming pool technicians clubs.
